extempore \ik-STEM-puh-ree\, adverb:
1. Without premeditation or preparation; on the spur of the moment.
2. Done or performed extempore.
So I got the Word of the Day yesterday… and decided that it was a sign. I see signs. Not often, and it’s not something I’m afraid to bring up in mixed company… but the Word of the Day was a sign. “Do Something,” it said. “Now.”
So I did something. I started this blog.
There will be more. I’ve got a few things to talk about. Music. Instruments. Bands (especially The Anna Ross Project). Marriage. Children. Dogs. Work. House work. No, not that kind of housework, although there may be some of that too, but work on the house.
The year will bring what it will bring, and if living as many years as I have has taught me anything, it’s that you can plan… but the only constant is change.
I’ll try to avoid the platitudes. I’ll stay clear of cliche whenever possible. Or not. It’s a blog, eh? What will be will be…
One thing I won’t avoid is puns, but then, you shouldn’t expect I would.
If you get bored here, check out my brother’s site: http://www.transparentchristianmagazine.com (another WordPress page!). Or Anna’s web pages at http://www.annaross.com. These two are a couple of my favorites for various familial and commercial reasons, if not only because I LOVE them!
Be free,
Jeff
